Fog arrived just as the last wisps of breeze disappeared at 9:30 this morning. Foliage was stunning for photographers juxtaposed with the foggy lake. As the morning waned on with no breeze the fog began to disparate slowly bringing the sunshine. We sat until after lunch with beautiful blue skies, a warm day crystal clear water and no breeze. Finally a trickle appeared and at times teams saw puffs to 8 or 9. Three races were completed in each division with no protests. Several spins and 1 capsize punctuated the day on a shifty course. Courses were a modification of a Harry A, allowing teams to have occasional fun on the reach to the middle.
Thanks to team members Lizzie Resnick and Meg O'Donnell who assisted with score keeping in the RC boat, and to Whit Durant and Andrew Angione who scored on Tech Score on their off set and waited for AAA to arrive to assist a visiting team.. Special thanks to Emmet Todd from M.S.S.T for helping on shore, and a special thanks to two former MSST sailors who now sail for Tufts who also helped out on shore knowing exactly what I would have wanted to have done.
Word of reminder to teams. Do not leave you doors open all day as it will kill the battery.
