NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championships

Summary

Saturday, September 29:

The sailors for this year's NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championships were greeted with overcast skies and a light northerly around 4 to 6 knots. The light and shifty breeze created difficult conditions for racing. 6 races were completed and no protests were filed.

Sunday, September 30:

Another overcast morning greeted the sailors with a light northerly at 3 to 5 knots. Only 2 races were completed until the breeze died around noon time. After some waiting and a course move further out into Long Island Sound did a southerly start to blow at 3 to 8 knots. 5 more races were completed in the shifty southerly. One protest was filed which resulted in a competitor to retire after the race. Many thanks for the camels who helped out on RC. Congratulations to BC's Erika Reineke (the NEISA singlehanded champ), U.S.C.G.A.'s Lauren Cefali, Yale's Claire Dennis, Yale's Emily Billing, and U.S.C.G.A.'s Christina Frost who will represent NEISA at the upcoming ICSA Women's Singlehanded Championships.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
