Southern Series 6 at Roger Williams
Saturday: Sailors arrived to a light and shifty SSW breeze. After a short morning postponement 4 races were completed in combined divisions. Following a long lunch break 3 additional races were sailed. The afternoon brought strong current flooding into the bay, and a shifty 5 knot southerly breeze. Racing concluded at 4:00 when the current became stronger than the dying breeze, making upwind sailing near impossible. There were a few capsizes mostly due to excessive roll tacks in the light breeze. No protests were filed.
Special thanks to returning alumni Josh Saltmarsh ’11, Jon Enright ’10, and Bjarki Gunnarsson ’10 for running the regatta.
Congrats to the Jumbos on winning the Southern Series 6 and their sweep of the Series.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
