Day one of the Danmark Trophy started with a beautiful Northerly breeze with relatively little current. Six races per division were sailed before the competitors took a short lunch break. After lunch the breeze was much less cooperative, shifting from the Northeast to Northwest with occasional spots on the racecourse with very little air. That on top of a strong flood made for very challenging conditions for the final four races in each division. All courses were W-4 except the last B-Division race which was a W-3. One redress was filed and granted to fix a scoring error and one protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. Thank you to our judge, Judy Krimski, for hearing these and policing all day on the water.
Sunday at the Danmark Trophy brought very tough conditions for the race committee. Competitor’s showed up to a dying Northerly that had some promise at first but eventually petered out. A Westerly started to fill around 10:30, finally filling across the racecourse enough to start race 11A at 11:15. That breeze held until 1:45 when race 13B had to be abandoned due to lack of breeze. Finally at 2:30 a southerly filled in time to finish race 13B.
All races on Sunday were W-4s. No protests were filed.
Thanks to the great team of Coast Guard cadets who helped run races this weekend. Their hard work made for the best possible racing given the trying conditions. Thanks also to Justin Assad for helping out as ICSA rep and Judy Krimski for judging.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
