Day 1 at the (first ever in Jacksonville, FL) ACCT greeted competitors with sunny skies and beautiful early morning North Florida November temperatures. Racing began on time at 10:00 a.m. with light northerly breezes and a flooding St. Johns River. Several general recalls along with a handful of OCS allowed 2 sets each to be completed completed in both A & B divisions, with one race abandonment. A short delay ensued waiting for a late to arrive easterly which filled in the 8-11 knot range around 3:00 p.m. With ebbing river flow, A teams sailed until dusk which allowed them to complete 2 more sets while B division got one final late afternoon set. After 14 overall races the University of Florida led Bowdoin College by 13 points with Salve Regina 3 points beyond. No protests were filed with the RC.
Huge thanks go out to all of the volunteers and teams at Jacksonville University, Florida Yacht Club (FYC), Epping Forest Yacht Club and SailLaser Jacksonville.

Thank you again to all of the volunteers and FYC members who contributed to make this event a success. Congratulations to the University of Florida Gators.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
