Competitors arrived to a sunny day with a high of 93 with winds predicted for 6-10 with a strong cold front predicted to move in during the evening. The racing began promptly at 10am with winds light out of the southwest at 3-6 mph and over the course of the day the breeze continued to clock to the west. The breeze steadily increased to 7 with predictable puffs of 10 to 14 mph for all except the last A rotation. Races 7a and 8a were sailed in a dying breeze of 1-4 mph but the front clocked in at 10 mph with gusts to 16 mph for races 7b and 8b. All races were W/L 2's except for races 7 and 8 in both divisions which were W/L 1's to maximize our time. The last race finished at 4:42. There were two capsizes and all protests were resolved on the water between schools. Thanks to Matt, Collin, Drew, Reid, and Caroline for running the races and the rest of our undergraduates for running the regatta. Also, thanks to Western Carolina Sailing Club for allowing us to host our event here at a better sailing venue and to Collin for supplying extra sails. Congratulations to the winning team of Charleston.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
