Roger Williams Invitational

Summary

Saturday, October 9:

Congrats to the BC Eagles for winning the 2009 RWU Invite!

9 Teams sailing combined divisions.

Saturday: A puffy 8-15 knot westerly rolled down off of Bristol point Saturday making for challenging racing for sailors and tough course setting fror the RC. 10 races were sailed as far East as possible before running into the channel. A ripping right to left cross current made sailing even trickier. The RC left the course set during the lunch break. When they returned to the course, the left gate was missing...

Sunday: Competitors gladly sailed across the river in front of the "golf course". We banged out the last 8 races before lunch! Competitors skillfully swapped boats directly. Steady SSW winds 3-9 knots made for much different sailing today. The BC Eagles reigned supreme led by Sophomore Alex Cook and Molly Clarke who won 13 of 18 races.

RP info is being loaded (painfully slow) on techscore. I had no idea what to do with the combined division scoring, so here are the final A&B totals:

BC 191 Tufts 197 URI 316 UVM 320 RWU 358 CGA 403 Bowdoin 428 Salve 429 Brown 436

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
