The predicted westerly of 10-15 never materialized Sunday at Taylor Pond. Most of the day was spent with a light westerly sometimes shifting to the north of west and south of west. W3’s and W4’s were sailed in breeze peaking at eight mph in puffs. Close racing between the top three teams all day culminated in a victory for the Polar Bears. One protest was filed with the protested party retiring after finishing. Amherst, Northeastern and Wesleyan were no shows.
Thanks to PRO Mike Horn and Bates sailors Julia Murphy, Helen Chyz, and Camilla Nivison for their help in running the regatta. Special thanks to the UConn team for paddling the race committee boat to the starting area when it ran out of gas.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
